Students for Gender Neutrality

Some students are trying to make the world more gender neutral. After a student-led campaign, Norton Hill School in Somerset, England has agreed to make their school’s uniform gender neutral. Likewise, a student petition at the Croydon’s Presbyterian Ladies’ College in Australia advocates for more gender-neutral uniform options, stating: “With our school aiming to stay modern and progressive – we want to uphold these progressive values by introducing a gender neutral pants option.” Premier Gladys Berejiklian stated, “If I was a schoolgirl at one of those schools I would argue for that and I think the young girls should express their views and express them to the people responsible because that’s how you make change. All power to them. I commend them and hope to see change for them.” Meanwhile, the Seal & Serpent Society at Cornell University has moved forward in making their fraternity gender neutral
